Eater Earns 2026 Daytime Emmy Nod for Short-Form Food Series

Eater has been nominated for a 2026 Daytime Emmy, adding another major awards recognition to a run that already included an 18th New York Emmy nomination the week before. The latest nod was announced on Tuesday and places the brand in the Outstanding Daytime Short Form Program category.

The nomination recognizes Most-Ordered, a new series that zeroes in on the dishes a restaurant is known for serving again and again. The pilot episode features Lori Jayne, the Brooklyn operation inside the bar Danger Danger, led by chef Sam Braverman.

That first episode focuses closely on Braverman’s steak frites, following the dish from start to finish. The segment covers butchery, fry preparation, steak butter, sauce, and the final plating, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the restaurant’s signature plate comes together.

The response matched the dish’s popularity. According to the report, the episode passed 1 million views in three days, and it also prompted viewers to try making the dish at home. At the restaurant itself, the attention was so intense that diners ordered so many steak frites that Lori Jayne sold out.

This is Eater’s sixth Daytime Emmy nomination overall, with several of those coming in the Short Form Program category. The 53rd annual Daytime Emmy ceremony is set to take place in Los Angeles on Friday, October 30.
