Avril Lavigne Reportedly Sang ‘Sk8r Boi’ at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding

More details are surfacing about the music at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, and Avril Lavigne is now being named as one of the performers. According to the report, former NFL punter Pat McAfee said on his ESPN talk show that Lavigne joined the lineup of star guests who took the stage at the couple’s Madison Square Garden ceremony.

McAfee said Lavigne, 41, performed her 2002 breakout single “Sk8r Boi” for the newlyweds and their guests. He described the moment as a highlight of the evening and said the singer was “awesome,” while also noting that performers appeared to be casually calling each other up to sing during the event.

The talk show host also said he wasn’t familiar with every song performed during the July 3 wedding, including one number from Ice Spice, but said the rapper brought plenty of energy. He later described the celebration as the most spectacular night he had ever attended, adding that he and his wife had a great time.

McAfee also addressed criticism aimed at Swift and Kelce over the scale of the New York City celebration. While acknowledging that shutting down part of a busy city might raise eyebrows, he said the event itself was the most grand and impressive thing he had ever seen. He added that, from what he observed, the couple clearly looked in love. Other guests reportedly included Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Jessica Alba.
