Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, have announced the arrival of their third child, a daughter named Golden Raye Mahomes. Born on January 12, 2025, Golden joins siblings Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2, continuing the family’s tradition of metallic-themed names, People.com.

Brittany shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a black-and-white photo of Golden’s tiny feet alongside a wooden sign bearing her name. She captioned the image, “•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨”.

The couple, who have been together since their high school days, married in March 2022 in Maui, Hawaii. They announced their pregnancy with Golden in July 2023, sharing the news through an Instagram Reel featuring their family in a photo shoot.

“She has her head on her shoulders the right way. She’s my rock. She’s the one that, through tough times, can get me through,” Patrick gushed, E! News reported. “Having someone that supports you every single day like I do is the reason that I am in the position that I am today.”

Golden’s arrival coincides with a pivotal moment in Patrick Mahomes’ professional life. The Chiefs secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC and are preparing for the Divisional Round of the playoffs, where they will face the Houston Texans on January 18, 2025, at Arrowhead Stadium. The team had a bye week during the Wild Card round, allowing Mahomes to be present for the birth of his daughter.

“I always wanted to have kids young,” Mahomes, said during an interview last year, according to AP News. “I got to grow up in the locker room. I mean, I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life. And so I wanted to have kids young, and we’re having our third kid now to join the family.”

As for Brittany herself, a third pregnancy has become something she’s used to. “With the first pregnancy, it was just me,” she explained. “So I could take naps, sleep all day, you know, I had nothing priority for me to do. Then, with Bronze, it was like, ‘Well, I have to take care of this kid but I’m tired,’ so I would just nap when she napped,” she told E! News last year.

The Mahomes family has been open about their parenting journey, sharing milestones and moments with their fans through social media. As they embrace life with three young children, their supporters continue to celebrate their growing family and the joy it brings.
