Prince William and Kate Middleton Turn Wimbledon Into a Family Outing With George and Charlotte

Prince William and Kate Middleton made the Wimbledon men’s singles final a family occasion on July 12, arriving at the London tournament with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The outing brought the couple’s two eldest children into one of the most recognizable events on the royal calendar, adding a more personal feel to the day at Centre Court.

Kate, 44, chose a green dress with an off-the-shoulder draped detail and paired it with taupe heels and a matching handbag. Charlotte wore a blue dress with white flats, while William and George both dressed in suits with striped ties. William wore a gray suit over a blue button-down shirt, and George appeared in a traditional black ensemble.

A Wimbledon tradition for the Wales family

The appearance continued a pattern the family has been building for years. According to the report, William and Kate first took George to Wimbledon in July 2022. Charlotte joined the tradition in July 2024, when she attended the men’s singles final with her mother and aunt Pippa Middleton. That appearance also marked one of Kate’s first public outings after she said she was undergoing cancer treatment in March 2024.

In January 2025, Kate shared that she was in remission and thanked the Royal Marsden for its care, as well as those who supported her and William during the difficult period. More recently, she spoke publicly about feeling grateful for her health while taking part in the UK’s National Three Peaks Challenge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. In a June 28 Instagram video, she said the effort was partly personal, explaining that she was thankful to be strong enough to walk the hills and wanted to give something back.

The Wimbledon appearance also came amid a wider celebrity-packed tournament, with other attendees including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Bad Bunny, Pippa Middleton, Roger Federer, David Beckham, Niall Horan and more, according to the report.
